Exhaust System
I have an after market exhaust system on my 1994 F150 that came with it when I purchased the truck. It looks like it's a backyard job and when I had my mechanic take a look at it to try to figure out why I'm getting bad fuel mileage he recommended going back to the original system. Now my question is I found a guy selling a system from a 2000 F150 extended cab short box and one from a 2006 crew cab with a 5'5 ft box. Does any one know if these system would fit my 1994 extended cab short box F150?

ok thanks, that's too bad because he's selling it for a good price. Now could you explain what you mean by a cat back system for my truck? I have never done any exhaust system work and not very familiar with parts, components, terms etc. Thank you.

I run ported manifolds into dual pipes. Drivers side pipe crosses over under the transmission, then runs side by side next to the passengers side, both with cats/mufflers and then but off just before the front axle.
I'd do that if it's a 4x4, unless you don't want to replace everything again. Otherwise go catback.
