Another Tire Question

Greetings from Idaho. Newbie Here.

I have read on other threads that tire size 285/75/16 is the largest tire you can put on a 2000 F250 super duty with-out a lift.

Has anyone installed 285/75/16's on their stock 16" x 7" rims? Or would you recommend switching to 8" wide rims.

Thanks in advance.

i would willing to bet the vast majority of the people that switched to that size tire have done so on the stock 16x7 rims. take a look at my gallery if you want to know how they look on the stock rims.

I put 285/75R16s on my stock rims just last week... They fit my 2001 4x4 CC without problems. See pics in my gallery.

I've ran 295/75/16's BF All-Terrains for a year on my stock rims prior to lifting with no issues. I don't do any off roading. Street use only. There's a pic in my gallery with the truck before I lifted it.

i had 285/75R16s on my stock rims, and they would rub a little off road and they'd rub the inner fender liner on full-lock turns, but they worked great and made the truck look alot more like a 4x4 truck.

In the winter I run 285/75/16 mud & snows with studs (siped too) on stock rims with no problems on my 03 250 CC 6.0. You can hear the studded tires from about two blocks away
