Body Rust! Help
hi, i just got a 1976 ford f100 ranger from my old man. Its got a 4 speed manual with the 360 engine in it. It also has 4 wheel drive. The paint is still in great shape but there is some rust spots on it! There is rusted threw spots over both wheel wells and in the back corner of the box by the bumper! i need ideas to remove the rust and also cover up the holes! im gonna repaint it after i get all the rust removed and cover but i dont know how to remove it! HELP ME

well i have bad rust damage on my 88' bronco and what i have done is use a wire brush that fits in a good drill and just sand away all the rust with that then you need to find some way of patching it since i used roll-on bedliner in my truck i just used some light weight sheet metal and bondo (kinda cheap but it is coverd by the bedliner you cant even tell!!)
if u really want to do it right you will need to do this to the bottom of the truck too and put undercoating on it
herculiner is good stuff and it is only about $90 per gallon

The only way to do ir right is to cut out the bad metal all the way back to the good, strong metal and weld in patch panels. Grind, fill, and repaint. Any other way will come back to haunt you.
