99 SOHC 4WD

Here's my problem, When I start the Explorer, the foot pedal (gas) sticks in the idle position. I have tried letting it warm up longer, not letting it warm up, etc. I can put it in reverse back out of the drive way, shift into drive...still stuck. All I have to do is "punch" the throttle and it comes loose, but it is annoying. Once I "punch" it, it is good, until I turn the engine off and start it again. The dealer, being such friendly folks that they are, told me they couldn't duplicate the problem.
I was thinking it might be the throttle cable, but it doesn't ever stick except when I start the engine. It has never stuck in a full thottle position or any thing like that.
Any guesses?

I have a 97 explorer XLT. when i bought it used in 99, the gas pedal stuck whenever i started it and also if i didn't press it for a few seconds, like at stop signs or when slowing down on highways. i would have to tap it kinda hard to break it loose. it finaly quit after a month or two. This probably doesn't help much, but i just wanted you to know your not alone.
