My slider window broke, and I have purchased a new whole back glass panel, but have heard conflicting stories on how to replace it myself. It's either really stuck in there with epoxy, or bolted by 8 bolts. It is a '91 Ranger supercab. Does anyone know the real story, and if it's even worth it for me to attempt myself?
I asked the question a few months ago and as I recall you need to remove the entire rear window ( ) to service the slider (94 Ranger XLT, most likely the same rear sider as you've got). As for DIY, that just depends on how comfortable you are with removing the required interior pieces to get to the thing. Really, I don't think it would be that bad. Be careful if you have any plastic plugs that need to be removed to access any screws; try not to damage the plug.
