Question coil pack firing order help

Does anyone know what order the coil pack on the 4.2 fires in. I inherited a job where the coil had been removed and now I need to reconnect the plug wires. The posts on the coil are numbered- do the wires follow the same order
(eg #1 cyl to #1 post) or does the coil fire in a sequence like a distributor and the wires are connected to match the firing order ( eg #1 cyl to #1 post, #4 cyl to #2 post, #2 cyl to #3 post, etc)

the cylinders go from #1 being the first plug on the pass. side to the #6 cylinder being closes to the brake booster. for some reason #6 on the coil pack is in the middle instead of the end of the pack but it is numbered on the pack so no problems there. am i being understandable.

According to the diagram I have, the coil pack is set up exactly like the engine is. The one on the passenger side closest to the firewall goes to the cylendar on the passengar side closest to the firewall. The positions on the coil pack correspond to the positions on the engine.

you're right. I'm an idiot.

Sorry about the confusion, but after checking your last post, I didn't read the diagram right!
