Windshield Washer Pump

I tried to install a washer/coolant resevoir off a 92 f150 in my 69 f250. I took the resevoir and the washer pump wiring and connector, and installed a new pump. doesn't work at all. Its not the switch or anything...because the universal pump i used to have still works on there. Is there a reason why this 92 pump doesn't work?

It could be just a bad pump on the 92. Are there just two wires? You can check the ohms or hook it up directly to your battery to see if it pumps.

Just two wires. Pump is new, but I'll try hooking it up to the battery. I just really like the bottle off the 92.

this is not really on this topic but i thought i'd ask here, does you're pump seem weak like it doesn't pump a lot? mine on my 1970 just barly does squirt some on the windshield.

Check your nozzles to make sure they're not clogged up. Check the hoses for small leaks.

Just replaced the pump on my '72. When you look at the old one, you can see why they dont last very long. Usually corrosion gets to them, and they die.
