1988 F250
Well it's time to get rid of my 1988 F-250 4x4 8ft bed with 1/2 crew cab. Has a camper cover on it. New Tires less tha 7 months and major front end work about 5 months ago. The problems Trans is slipping just changed the fluid filter and adjusted the band. C-6 trans. Checked the modulator for leakage and drained the converter. Has a water leak upper left side bt the timing case cover gasket. Also just put a new upper rad. hose on last week when I got stuck on Sunrise Highway. Has minor rust and replaced drivers door.
Thats it I love it but due to my injuries from 911 it is becoming to much to work on.
I am asking $3,000 to regain what I put into it.
I live on Long Island in Baldwin and you can reach me at
edpmedic@optonline.net
Send a message and I will give you my phone # so we can discuss price.
THANKS

I got the 351M and I just did the readjustment on thr Intrmediate Band. It's a C-6 trans. Seems to be running ok till it heats up then the shift points get longer. You know just don't seem to be right. I should check the Governor or TV and cable which seem to be set right.
Changed the hose on the Modulator and there was no fluid leak out of it. I think it is just getting tired. The battery went dead and since I love it and still have found no home I had the Alt checked. Needed to be replaced. So I threw in a rebuilt from this guy in Oceanside near the docks.
The truck if no one buys it is going to the Baldwin FD soon. I want to try and get till the Inspection runs out. That will be in March, but I am looking at a HERE IT COMES(Toyota 4 runner, Mitsu-Montero, Range Rover Discovery)
4-runner seems the way I might go. I really hate to do it and I do not feel rifgt sitting in any of these vehicles

lrrpbn47 - If you decide to go the Range Rover or Discovery route let me know and I can give you some pointers. My current DD is a 1993 Range Rover LWB that I am turning into an off-roader. Heck, make me an offer and I might sell it too you!! The more I off-road the more I like vehicles without all the electronics and sensors like I use to have. I guess I am turning old school the older I get.
Good luck in whatever you decide to do.

RONIN007....Thanks I might take you up on it if I can see the Vehicle. You want to go 4X4 then maybe we could do a deal. I would like to get some input anyway.
So far I looked at the Highlander, 4 runner in Toyota
Then I looked at Nissan Pathfinder, X-Terra and for the hell of it Murano.
Then I looked at Montero and the Endeavor.
I looked at the American line of vehicles and on and on.
Where do you live maybe we can hook up and look at each others vehicles. The F250 is running great now that I put a new batt and rebuilt Alt in it. The trans like I said seems to have that 1-2 long wait, but my friends say it seems ok. I mean it is what it is and it has served me very well for almost 5 yrs now. Tell me how we can get in touch.
Sent you a E-mail and IM both have my Phone # and e-mail address
