Throttle Body Spacers (work or junk?)

ive seen these throttle body spacers in catalogs and what not and was wondering what yall thought of them.

from what ive seen they seem to work on teh same 'princple' as those BS 'tornado' air swirler dealies and those looked like utter junk.

does swirling the air right before it goes into the throttle body give any kind of improved performance, horsepower, mpg?

Pretty much a waste of your hard earned money. No real benefit at all.

I wouldn't say theres no benefit to these things.

I had a hot start problem on my 352 4bbl. It always started, but would have to crank a bit after sitting 10-15 minutes when hot. I put on a 4 hole 1" spacer and the hot start issue was resolved. Just touch the key and it fires right up hot or cold now.

I also got a noticeable improvement in low end torque as a side benefit.

Your results could be different, but for $20 you're not out a whole lot. EFI may be different than a carb setup too.

You will not notice a difference on an EFI motor.....they make good paper weights though.
