Standard Transmission vs Auto
All,
I would like my new vehicle to have a standard transmission. That being the case I guess I'm limited to a truck vs van/exp/exc.....
How is the reliablity of the 4 or new 5 speed manual transmissions? The auto tranny in my wifes t-bird had to have the converter replaced at 50k miles. I'm a good stick driver and would get at least 100k miles out of the clutch(hopefully as my 90 Mustang 5.0 has 130k on the original clutch).
Do I have any alternatives?
