302 Oil Filter Mounting Insert Info

I found that the 302 longblock I purchased did not come with the insert that the oil filter screws on to..
Came with a new AC-Delco filter, just no way to put it on..
I went over to my old engine to remove the insert, and found no hex head, or any way to grab-on (or in) to screw it out.. The rebuild manuals show a 1 1/4" hex-head for the insert... So, I took a trip to the bone yard to get one.. Well, 3 hours in the hot, humid weather, and a broken oil filter wrench later, NO hex-head inserts on any of the engines.
Nothing showed up with a Google search either.. (That I could see) The machine shop I called said that it is common for the inserts to be removed by large reman companies that totally strip the blocks down.I went to the Ford dealership, and found that the insert could be ordered, and will arrive in a couple of days.
The Ford part # is: F1AZ-6890-B
It only costs $6.76....

It seems that Ford decided to do away with the insert that screws in with a 1 1/4" socket... Instead, I was sent an insert that takes a 11mm Hex Bit inside the insert to tighten it.

It is almost impossible to find a 11mm Hex bit. (Socket or hex-key) I went to Sears, Auto Zone, Advance, NAPA, etc... With no luck. I finally found one made by SK here:

I did not want to wait, so I took a bolt with a head that fit in the insert, placed it in the insert with red Locktite on the filter insert threads, and used a pair of Vicegrips to clamp on the threaded part of the bolt to turn the insert in.

The damn thing would not turn all the way in, but with the Locktite, it is in plenty tight enough to install the oil filter. (the filter snugs up and spins off fine) I do not have to worry about it coming off.
