I have a 1996 explorer that is leaking coolant. the only place I can find that is wet is the upper radiator hose. while idling, no leak. step on the gas pedal and coolant sprays off of the fan onto upper radiator hose. it has the 5.0. thank you in advance for any replies
might also be the expansion plugs in the engine. one might of rusted through. it happened on our '97 taurus, it was leaking coolant off the engine, and was overheating. turned out that an expansion plug rusted through and had a pinhole leak in it. weird and rare...yes...check it out if replacing the hoses and tightening the clamps does not work.
