I have been getting an error code 332 on my wifes 95 explorer for sometime now. I have replaced the egr valve and the egr vaccum regulator and I am still getting this code any idea's?
I have same prob but I get the codes with engine running (72 and 332). any ideas. I have already replaced the pfe sensor and the vacuum regulator solenoid. I wait and wait
By saying that you get those codes as KOER codes, can I assume that it passed the KOEO test? If it passes the KOEO test, but gives the EGR code during the KOER test, then we can believe that the computer and PFE can communicate (at least sometimes when the engine isn't running). This couls suggest that the fault is in what the PFE is measuring. Check the vacuum lines to the PFE for clogs or breaks. Does this engine have a solenoid to control the EGR? If so, make sure it's opening and closing.
Yes it does pass the KOEO. I have just finished replacing some suspect vaccuum lines and hoses. It does have an EGR vac reg sol. I am about to check it for operation as per the Haynes. Will post findings later. If you come up with any thing more please advise.
according to the directions, since I was able to blow air (by mouth) through the unit, it does not pass the test. I used a small piece of vaccuum hose (didnt feel like finding my vac tester)
there are two inlet/outlets and I checked both. It does not matter which, air still gets through. Is this a good test? do you have other suggestions?

By the way it was the egr valve that I replaced previously and not the vacuum solenoid
I was looking thru old posts for some help and saw yours. I am having the same problems and codes. I have replaced the EGR, EGR sending unit, the EVR, most of the vacium lines and cleaned all EGR related electrical connections. I'm lost. Have you fixed yours, if so what was the problem?

An insufficiant flow code can be caused by a clogged EGR port.If you remove the EGR valve you will find a finger sized hole in the intake manifold,at the BOTTOM of this is a SMALL port.try poking this port out with a peice of STIFF wire and a couple of pipe cleaners.then unhook the negative battery cable for five minutes to clear the code.
Also if your oxygen sensors havn't been replaced, ... do it. Especially if they have almost 100k like mine were.
These two suggestions were given to me and they worked. No more codes since.
