AC Head Pressure?
What kind of ac head pressures are acceptable...Its around 100 here today!

low side should be between 24-40psi with ac on max

120# in your dreams pal not at 100 deg. your probably gonna see 250 to 300 psi at an idle at 100 deg. f low side from 21 to 40 aprox. depending on your heat load and fan speed

Thanks, I think its a little low on gas. Its running at 25/170-175 now, blows a little warm but really bad when accel.

What is the refrigerant? Is it R12 or R134a?

remember 134a is easy to over charge

The only to know the charge is to reclaim it and weigh what comes out. Recharge to factory weight and check system. Automotive a/c systems have to many variables to go by gauge alone, compessor speed, incoming air temp,cab temp. Don't overcharge or by by compressor!!

If you charge by pressures during the summer, it sure won't be overcharged the rest of the year.

I generaly add refrigerant as i have my hand on the suction line coming out of the evaporator(the big line) i add vapor(can in upright posotion) add untill the line gets beer can cold not a little cold but dam cold that should be your stopping point ,add no more but make sure your condensor is clean bugs and dirt can cause hight head pressures good luck
