Hey everyone. I recently purchased a 2003 Ford E450 transit bus and have been working on it to get it up to shape. I purchased it with the AC inoperative so I'm trying to fix it. I hooked up my manifold guages and found no pressure in the system. I charged it, compressor would not engage. Jumped the low pressure switch and the compressor engaged. I replaced the switch and the AC blew cold. It quickly lost the freon. Upon further Diag, I found a hole in the rubber AC line (low side) I simply replaced the line and recharged but now I cannot get the compressor to come back on. I do not have a way to tell exactly how much freon I've added but my static pressure on my guages are approx 100psi(95 degrees outside) the system holds 40 on the front system and 60 total(rear system is working fine with separate compressor ect) I have power running through my low pressure switch approx 13 volts) I do not have power at my compressor clutch. I traced the power wire from the low pressure switch to the high pressure switch. I have power still at 13 volts going into the high pressure switch. There's another wire leaving the high pressure switch going to the compressor clutch and I tested power there and only had .16volts. I also, tried to turn the compressor clutch by hand and it does turn but I tried jumping the compressor with a jump wire from my battery and it still did not turn on. I would say maybe my compressor is bad but I don't have power at my connector so I'm left scratching my head. Any advice or help would be awesome!
