i've heard that the s/b cleveland 4v heads can be fitted 2 the windsor block - has anyone got any info, can i still use the windsor inlet manifold or do i have to change to the cleveland item
Yes they will "bolt up" to any SBF. To run them on a W style block the water crossover must be plugged on the block face side and redrilled on the intake face side. Pain in the butt. After that mod a Boss 302 intake can be used for a 302 swap and a special "clevor" intake {B&A??} will make it work on a 351W. I would question the wisdom and practicality of this swap as after the basic water and intake changes are done there is still the matters of cam selection, pushrods, piston dome configuration, compression ratio questions. There are many Windsor style aftermarket heads available that are MUCH easier to use that make great power, some in aluminum too. The 351C 4V heads would move the power band way up as compared to Windsor style heads so in a truck that would not be a good thing. Check it out further before you attempt this swap!
This swap was slightly popular in the '70s & early '80s, due to the lack of aftermarket heads & the scarcity of early '69-'70 351W heads. Nowadays, there's too many good heads out there to bother, in my opinion. The few swaps I have seen were all 351C 2V, in an attempt to keep decent low rpm performance. The special intake mentioned by Bobcat is now made by Bush Performance. If you are really interested I will dig up their address & phone- got it somewhere...
definitly interested if you have an addy sounds like i'm going to go with the 2v heads (shouldn't be hard to swap the 4v heads i have 4 some 2v) aftermarket heads head are still a couple of thousand - i picked my 4v heads up for nz$100
also parker makes an intake for swapping the 4v heads onto the 351w block, but this is a performance manifold on par with the edel. victor. Although it isn't the clevor manifold, if you want to see the parker funnelweb intake, look in my galleries, under 88 ranger, and click on one of the engine pics. The last time Terry parker called he told me that he didn't have enough interest in the 2v version for that swap or for the swap onto a 302, although he does produce a funnelweb intake for a 302 with standard sbf heads
Also madhatterracing sells them
on edit I see you are in NZ, if you are interested in the parker manifold he is in Aussie, email me, and I can send you his email, and phone number.

Here's a link that should help. http://www.mustangandfords.com/techarticles/30220/ It has the address as well. I forgot to mention that this is a somewhat popular circle track swap...also, the current Winston (er, make that Nextel) Cup Ford engines are essentially this same combination, developed into the SVO block & Yates heads. Hey, start the first NZ Nextel Cup team. Good luck!!
