This is a strange thread.
Craig originally posted this just over 3 years ago so there's a good chance he's already worked through the issues and the problems are long since forgotten.
Now there is a reply from someone claiming to represent the vendor, but it is not obvious by the user name "fatiger53" that he is associated with Fatman Fabrications.
I have no reason to doubt that he is who he says he is until I review the user profile (no name or company affiliation) and see that as of now, he only has 3 posts, 2 of which are in this thread. The third is in response to request for info on installing a flatty in a 53 with a Fatman MII crossmember and here was the reply from fatiger53-"I called Fatman's and they said they had done many 48-52 F-1 with flatheads with no issues at all. Since the engine sits a little further forward in the "53 chassis, they can notch their crossmember to fit your flathead pan. "
If this is the owner, why would he have to call? And you don't normally refer to yourself as "they".
All that said, "welcome" and hope you can hang around and participate in the forum, especially in support of your products.
Good Luck!
I missed the date but looked Brents profile and other post. Thats why I asked what I did. Brent if you do read this out to the end thanks for your input. Sometimes things just don't look right. Like when you see a should be 30K car on ebay for 5K buy it now. No offense but in this case...... I've never personally used any of your products but am familiar with them. You must be doing OK business I see your adds every month. Why drag up an old thread defending your company and not say right out of the box who you are. Just looks wierd and enough of us have been screwed to be gunshy. Rich
I have dealt with Brent in the past on other parts and questions and he has nor has his company ever took more than a few hours to follow up or return a call about anything, so I really doubt it is him or anybody at FF. Why would anybody want to create the perception of being late to respond as this would not benefit the company at all. I bounced the original thread to him way back and he got it. However, the explaination to the issue is true and correct wherever it came from. Even some OEM parts on mopars don't fit w/o tweaking. Take this poster with a grain of salt.
If it is Brent, then he can E-Mail me and I will order a set and test fit, post a follow up and find out. So....poster, call me you have my number.
