Replacing a C4 with a C6

The C4 is widely used behind 700HP big blocks. They are modified of course but the potential is there. The C6 is even stronger but it robs a lot more power and will give you worse mileage. What is failing on the C4? Is it getting burnt clutches?
You can get a C6 for a small block and it will work but you might want to think about the C4. Just make sure you run a big tranny cooler.

Lots of noise and what sounds like gears grinding when you first take off. It also slips bad. It also makes these noises when it shifts.
Do you think I should stay with the C4 amd add another cooler?
