there are some really knowledgable guys in the audio/video forum, you might want to post there, and see if you can find a response.

There is still no way to install an after market radio with factory dvd player, I have came to grips with it and I sleep fine at night. Still a little ****ed that I can't upgrade the head unit.
MY SOLLUTION:
I installed 4 new speakers Polk DB570, they sound great and I installed the Sirius through a fm modulator that uses a display remote that sits in that space were an ashtray probably could go just below the heat controls.

I am not going to give up easy, just worked with my installer today, seem there is a voltage problem, the databus is at 6.5 volts, still no resolution yet, but I am going to keep after it. As I get new info I will share with all. MarksToy

the dvd player has output signal to the stock radio. This signal is low level, i.e. RCA input. Now, if you have an aux. input your in business. If not, use the fm mod. or a adapter sold from specialty stores.

Also, the dvd requires two voltage sources. One for power, and the other is basically a remote turn on that was supplied by the radio.
