f150 xlt lariet 2wd...turn to 4wd?

what are some pro's, and con's of turning a ford f150 xlt lariet 2wd 5.0 efi into a 4wd. iv already got things priced out and wanted to know before i bought what some other people think would be a good idea or not to do this. also thinkin bout giveing it a 3-4 inch body and suspention lift. to componsate the muds i want to put on it

probably be cheaper to buy a 4x4 of the same year.

A cool thing to do; however, I wouldn't do it unless your body and frame are in good shape. The best way to convert the truck is to buy a donor 4x4. It will cost you probably $2000 to buy all the parts from a junk yard. I picked my 4x4 beater up for $600.
