looking for technical guide
Hi,
Yes, I have a chiltons manual.However, i need to change rear main seal on a 1981 f 150 inline 6 4 speed manual trans. This is a one piece seal. The trans. needs to be dropped.This is a 2 part tranny (bellhousing). From what I understand , disco neg batttery cable, remove starter, and I have removed bolts connection bellhouse to tranny. What is my next step? How many bolts are there to drop tranny. This is a manual clutch. Can someone walk me through the process? I do not know what driveshaft , crossmembers are. Can you please explain? How difficult is it to remove tranny?
