So I decided that I didn't want the Edelbrock Streetmaster intake that has been sitting on my 400 since the rebuild. This engine has not been started (fired up) as of yet. However, I'm putting on a Weiand intake instead (8010 manifold). My question is, since the engine has never ran, should I get a new valley pan and front and rear rubber seals, or can I just reuse the ones that were on there? Again, the engine has never been fired, it was just rebuilt with a different intake bolted on. I'm not sure, as I think since it was torqued down, I need a new pan, BUT, hopefully not.
Thanks.

fel-pro makes a good gasket for the intake that lets you get rid of the valley pan. I believe its a performance gasket so you will likely have to get it at a speed shop. It says not to install it on a stock motor mine had an edelbrock performer and i had no problems. The only thing is it comes with end seals for a clevlend but says it fits 351c/m and 400. The end seals will be to short but you just use silicone.
