Deck height

On tmeyer's website he shows a stock piston in a 400 and labels it as being .062 in the hole. Is that what the stock spec is? Don't the original Badgers sit down even farther than that? Mine were in .076-.080 with no block decking done. The new piston he is selling he says will come up to a zero deck height. Now we have a new wrinkle when building. He says he can machine a dish in the top to get to a desired cr, but I would think it would have to be substantial to run them with Aussie 58cc heads. A question I have is if you have a zero deck which is waht is needed to get quench, does substantial dishing of the piston affect that?

not if the dish mirrors the combustion chamber it won't affect the quench

well i was looking at a VERY crude "mock-up" trace and transfer from my heads it seems that 2 1/2 round dish (1 1/4 radius) doesn't interfere with the combustion chamber but even tho i can't see them(witout a bore scope) would like them closer
may get them on the CNC
