85 Bronco w 3spod hard to get int 1st when down shifting an hard to go into rev. could this poss be the slave cyl

 

F series of your vintage had firewall flex, and my '85 van, where the clutch master is on the floor, flexed also. The result: hard to get into gear, hard shifting. Have someone work the clutch while you watch the master.

checked the master cyl an their is flex but not much do they offer a repair plate or kit to remedy this it is at the point have to shut off engine to put into reverse or first

 

I made my own reinforcement plate. Since the pressure plate only moves a tiny tiny amout, this flex you can see, plus wear in the other components might be enough to make it drag.

Do you think you can make your own plate?

Is there any adjustment anywhere on your set up? (didn't see any on mine)

Make sure you don't need a bleed job, too.

 

How many miles on the clutch maybe its just time to replace it? The hyd. clutchs start to shift just like you said when they get worn.

 

There is appx about 1k on clutch assy it sees to do it worse when it is drivin a whileafter 10 miles or so was thinking that it is in slave as there isnt much travl there the plate you made how heavy gauge
