bronco wont move
bronco starts but doesnt accelerate when i mash the peddel to the gound. i had a prob with the disributer and i installed a new one also i installed msd ignition and blaster coil, also two weeks ago my truck just died and wouldnt start had no spark. that is why i checked the disributer after replacing it the truck starts but only idels. my check engine light stays on constantly and keep poping up a code 31 but that is the only code i get. i have also re done all the vacuum lines cause of broken lines. also i can rev up the engine when in park but once in gear i cant. is there any way to check the puter to see if it is bad?

i know this is a dumb ? but have you cheched and replaced the fuel filter? what you are discribing is typical of a plugged filter on a fuel injected car. when you replaced the dist. did you maybe knock off the vacumn line to the fuel pressure regulator?

yes i replaced the fuel filter also i hooked up a pressure gauge to the fuel line and i am reading 35psi at idle and when i rev the engine up the press. goes up about 5 psi. but as soon as i put a load on it, it deosnt have any acceleration. I also thaught that mabey the map sensor might be bad so i replaced it. That was a waste of money it didnt help. also i double checked the timing and it still is at 10 btdc iam stumped on this one.

He passes em real slow and with the ignition off so they dont hear him! hehe
You can take the puter to Autozone or Checkers...they can hook it up and check to see if there is a prob with it. They should have the testers there. I know Autozone does.
