Hey, you guys runnin' 35" spares on stock tire carriers, what width wheels are you using? 8", 10"? Backspacing? I don't want to add too much more weight to the carrier by spacing the wheel out for a deep-dish 10-wide wheel. Lemmeknow

Maybe you could just get a duckbill hammer and some spoons. Then you'd only need to keep a tire, not a wheel too.
Anyhow. Again, not to answer the question, but to provoke thought: a 35" tire, with any type of wheel, is lots of weight for the stock rack to take. maybe you could look into mounting one to your bumper. Then you could use any wheel you have already and not worry about anything tearing, stretching or bouncing away.
Yes, thanks to all for the BS. I DID NOT ask for opinions. That does not answer my question. When I get the money, I'm getting a custom made tire carrier, but that's a few months away.
It's funny because people who ask simple questions, wanting simple answers, never get that on this great website. It's a shame It's almost like people are wanting to reply just to get they're post number higher, you know!
I do appreciate moderators stepping in for support. You have to think these people don't know what they're doing.

hope your not taking what was said by me as being bs. it wont matter what rim you use the tire is still to big. the only people that may run a 35 on the carrier are pavement pounders . Are you a pavement pounder
What's with the attitude, South Oregon? This is a community where people share thoughts, ideas, and opinions, not a question and answer session for your benefit.
I like this guy. Listen, I just asked a simple question, maybe it's my fault for not specifying that I'm not a pavement pounder, or that I have an attitude, or whatever. I just want my question answered. That's all. See, I thought I could post and get a simple post back. Just like it used to be. Nowadays everyone has to put their two cents in.
I value your opinion Kemical, but FYI, ya gotta do whatcha gotta do!. LOL
How does a question about trucks turn into a therapy session? Anyone? I'm trying to lighten the mood
