If I read the spec sheet right, Daytime running lights are still a fleet option only. When is Ford going to offer them as an option for the non fleet buyer? I tried to get the dealer to order them on my last two trucks, but was told there wasn't any way unless I had a fleet number(?). I've had to have them dealer installed for about $200-300 each time. I spend a lot of time towing on two lane roads, and really don't want to have a rice rocket full of kids as a hood ornament because they "didn't" see me.
Unless you're a fleet buyer or live in Canada, you'll have to add the DRLs later. Or, just turn on your headlights each time you get in the truck...........
I guess I'll have to order a DRL kit when I get around to buying a new truck, turning the lights on and off everytime I get in or out of the truck is a royal PITA.
Hope this may help as I have been doing some searching. If I read this right all it takes on the 99 and newer f150s is a couple of parts a DRL resistor and a DRL relay block. #loopback
Well this has become a moot point due to the fact that now I won't be getting a new F-350 anytime soon. We just bought a 40 foot triple slide 5th wheel, and so now I'm looking for a late model F-650/International 4700 crew cab to drag this monster around....
