vacuum line help

hey guys....my check engine light on my 97 expy came on shortly after i began hearing a hissing noise from the engine bay. a closer look leads me to think its a vacuum line. I got a code reading 171 which means its running lean i beleive. another thing i noticed is that when i shut the truck down i hear the hissing like pressure is leaving or something?? anysuggestions on where to start...i do not want to go to the dealer but i am not sure of what to look for being that i can't find any hose leaks. any help is appreciated

Where do you hear the hissing inside or outside of the truck

both, i can hear it in the cab and then under the hood around the intake and throttle....

check the pvc line first seems to be popular here and I have found one or two for friends while you are there reroute it (if it is the problem) it seems to get kind of hot maybe why it fails so early.
