I have a 95 for explorer and I have bought a portable cd player (for numerous reasons) and I wanted to try it in my car. It came with the car adapter kit. So when I put the cassette in my cassette player it would play on side 1 for anywhere from 15-45 seconds, then it would flip to side 2, not play anything, flip back to side 1, then spit the cassette out. Could someone please tell me why it is doing this? By the way my tape player plays regular tapes fine.

Make sure the tape turns freely. Resistance is the only thing that will tell it to reverse.
