the wire pulls off..then at the top of that bell shaped thing is where it screws into the adapter that screws into the block..unscrew the bell shaped thing from the adapter..i think it's a 9/16 inch wrench open end. Your new gauge will have various fittings, one will screw into where that came out of..a white hose and fittings will slide into that connector that screws into the adapter. You will run the white hose to the inside of the vehcile where it will screw onto the back of your new gauge.

 

just one more thing will oil come out of the end
