Hello all,

I just got news from the wife that a baby is on the way! So, I need to shed the truck for an Large SUV. I pull a lage boat and really need a diesel Excursion. However, I really like the new additions to the 05' Super Duty Series.

Has anyone heard if Ford will continue to build the Excursion in 05'? If so, will the Excursion have the New Features of the Super Duties?

Thoughts?

I know Ford is going to discontinue the Excursion, but I don't know when.
I don't know if they are changing the Ex in 2005 or not.
If they discontinue it, or don't change it, just get you a F-250 Crew Cab short bed. The main good thing about the new Super Duties to me is that 5 feet shorter turning radius.

Thanks for the thoughts. Unfortunately I really need the third role seating. May have to settle for an 04'....

Chad, You can definitely have an '05 Excursion. The order guide is out, but it remains to be seen what SD upgrades will be available on the Ex.

I have an 05 X coming in September. Changes are minimal and include the new grill, headlights and some basic interior color changes otherwise they are exactly the same as the 04's. See photos on earlier post for 05 excursions.

All,

I plan on going with the Limited 4x4 PSD. I'm glad to here it has the outside refinments for 05. Does it have the Surge brake option for trailers?

By the way, does anyone have an estimate on mileage?

Hmm, I'm not sure about this. That front end looks kinder & gentler... at the very least, its not as aggressive as the 00-04. Then again, I just got mine, so maybe I'm a bigot.
