If i get the super runner steering is there a need to also buy steering stabilizers as well? It will be a 6 inch super lift with a whole new rear stack.
I would imagine it would be a good idea to still buy them, because of the sheer size of offroad tires. The superrunner system just relocates your pivot points to a less severe degree. It doesnt do anything for bump steer (as far as I know).
You can go to superlift's website and look at their design picture. It doesn't just re-locate the pivot points, it adds an additional horizontal bar which then pivots the tie rods, rather than ford's "Y" design.
The superlift steering is great, I put one on my truck when I put my 6" skyjacker system on there. If I were you, I'd pass on superlift's suspension kit, the skyjacker kit is 10 times better (I've owned both on the same truck). The steering system is a little bit of a trick to get to fit, I took a piece of 1/4" thick steel about 6" x 6", grinded a curve in it to match the profile of the crossmember. I then welded the plate into position in two places, on the skyjacker axle pivot bracket, and the crossmember. I then welded superlift's steering bracket onto this plate, and off we go. It's been on there for a year and 1/2, no issues, just have to make sure you're tie rod angles are right and there is no binding before you finish off your welding. You could also have someone weld it for you if you can't weld.
I have dual steering stabilizers, they help a lot when your off road.
I was curious about using the super runner steering with a different brand lift. I was considering having it installed when I did the lift but my budget said wait. I'll probably do it sooner now.
I've never liked the main/draglink system. The center/endlink and idler arm makes a lot more sense.
