you're gonna need a small kit at best buy or a similar place. it's just a ford headunit pulling kit. I kinda rigged mine w/out the kit, it just matters on how adventurous you're wanting to be.

there are 4 holes, two on each side. There is a tool that is made for this, but I think it can be done using two pieces of a coat hanger bent into a "u" shape. When you push them in, don't go too far, or it won't fully release. Another thing that helps is to pull outward (towards the sides of the radio as you pull towards you) this helps to pull the clips back far enough to get the radio out.

http://www.installdr.com/InstallDocs/FLM/PDF/356037.pdf Those are the exact instructions I used to remove the stock head unit in my 96 bronco, and they were perfect (I used the coat hanger method).

Stick with the coathanger method, unless you like unscrewing alot of things, and putting them back when you finish.

Im not sure what he is talking about in regards to unscrewing things. I didnt have to do anything. In fact, there are no screws involved at all with pulling the deck out of your dash.

just buy the tool then go out in the parking lot, take out the radio, then bring it back and say it was the wrong thing

I went down to Circuit City, asked about buying a tool, and they came out and took it out for me for free.... .
