Can any tell me if there are "New Retro" dash panel gauges to swap out the old ones? I am looking for new gauges that really spice up the dash panel. I can only find nice new gauges for 69 and older.
Check out Mclaughlin31 pics. Nicest truck Ive seen on here IMHO! I think he is using a piece of sheetmetal over where the dash should be. That way you could buy any aftermarket setup and just drill the desired holes. I think I might try the same deal. Other than that I havent seen or heard about any direct bolt in gauges except for those white paper deals that cover the gauge itself.
Thanks STG,
Supercab, I know this isn't what your looking for exactly, but I took a piece of 1/4 inch aluminum(spent a few hours polishing, wet sanding and buffing) and made a template with paper then cut it out and fitted it to my dash with stainless screws, I'm going to run Autometer ultra-lite gauges, and I'll just position them when I'm ready and I should be set. Going to finish up the body before I start on the interior, but I think there is a couple of pics on my gallery that might give ya an idea. Good luck.

mclaughlin, that setup looks awesome, Ive been wondering about a way to fiberglass the origional gauge bezel in my truck so I can include the radio and heater origional mounts in the new panel, and also with fiberglass I can keep an angle on the gauges so they tilt up a little bit, but after seeing what you have done, I am thinking twice, LOL. Where in maine are you at, I am in the Richmond/Gardiner area with a 79 to restore, if you have any extra parts I would love to know.
