Exclamation crankshaft bolt threading

Hey guys,
I'm in the process of taking off the timing chain cover and I need to remove the big 15/16 crankshaft bolt that holds the harmonic balancer on. Is that a lefty-loosey bolt or is it threaded backwards (due to the clockwise motion of the engine) ?

Okay, I called a mechanic and determined that it is threaded normally, but I can't get it off! I have tried a breaker bar and a rubber mallet as well as an impact wrench. Any ideas?

well guys, I answered my own question eventually. Here's the way to do it - keep the pulley on the harmonic balancer and wrap the pulley in a rag and a chain wrench. Then pull the chain wrench opposite of a breaker bar that is on the bolt.

And when you're taking off the harmonic balancer, do NOT use a wheel puller on the outside of the damper. It will mess it up!

Visegrips on flywheel blocked by bell housing and use impact wrench on balancer bolt; used this approach numerous vehicles. Just remember to remove those visegrips after the repair.

I used a breaker bar with a 5 foot section of pipe over that for leverage. Still was an effort, but got the thing off....
