Okay, anyone have any ideas as to what, bolt onto the engine supercharger I should be looking for? I have a 351W and need a supercharge to bolt on top of the engine not infront of it like a lot of these little kids are doing. Any ideas? And, it will be going into a 96 bronco. Any particular type or model would be helpful. Tried asking different manufacturers but they just wanted to sell the bigest thing they have. And, none of them are roots, modified roots or whipple charger that bolts to the top of the engine.
Okay in addition to this anyone know where I might be able to find broken not so good superchargers/turbochargers? doesn't mater if they work or not or if just parts for a system.
Well, finally decided to look around stang.net and got told I was banned. never been there before so not sure why. But as far as the other sugestions given, they have been a great help didn't even thing to check them before. thanks again kemicalburns and epncsu2006 and hkiefus
If you are going for a roots or whipple style blower, I think you need a carb or a TBI injection system. The reason that most of the S/Cs sold for TPI Ford engines is that you can't bolt a roots type blower onto the stock intake and keep the injection system. Centrifugal superchargers work well and require minimal mods to the engine.
Are you planning on changing the fuel delivery system as well?

The Kenne Bell kit for a '96 Bronco bolts to the top of the manifold and provides a new intake that is routed so the TB and EGR is in the stock locations. You do not change anything concerning the injectors. It is the same kit that fit my '92 Bronco and the kit is pretty much complete. I added the boost and fuel pressure gauges though because I wanted to see exactly what was happening with the system. I suggest you look at the website and a picture of an installed kit before giving wrong information to Jammer77.
Jammer77, the Kenne Bell is great for your Bronco. You will love the easy power and performance. Great low end torque.

Well As far as this type of equipment is concerned, I wasn't too sure of the options for this configuration. So, thus the reason for asking reliable people as youselves and just seeing the differnt points of view and information that I could obtain as for what will need to be upgraded yes muost likely will upgrade fuel system but not sure how jsut yet still shopping around for the setup to fit my budget and desire for operation. But, I have also found differnt configurations for this block, ie carb vs efi, and plan on sticking with the efi setup purely due to ease with my computer system and sub systems on this vehicle. I do have most of the needed part for carb setup but desire a more efficient setup. Maybe give the carbs and intakes and evything else I have to my brother in-law for use on his 351w since he is wanting a systme himself. and is more preferenced to carb (GAS GUZLER) setup. But, do appreciate the input from both of you. If you do have any other suggestions please do let me know, I'm always ready to look at a different point of view, then weigh my options and proceed.
The twin screw/roots style blower themselves are great. But, like I've said before, the components that come with this kit hinder its potential. The blower inlet is a bit restritive and it runs off of the same (6 rib) belt as the accessories. The kits they make for the 87-96 trucks are OK for a mild setup. But if you plan on going more aggressive in the future then I would look into something will support more power....that way you only have to buy it once. Last time I checked, the only compressor KB offered for the 87-96 trucks was the 1.5L (6psi), which is fine for a stock motor.
You need to tell us what your plans are for this truck....what is its main purpose going to be so we can give you more accurate information.
Primarly once it is back from the shop, then I will most likely be towing a bit more and with my change in position at work will have more time so would like to ensure I have more overall power when going off road. generally just need more power, to ensure thta when towing a tendem axle flatbed with another vehicle on it namely another bronco or pickup, then want to make sure I can make it up hill without any issues. I have been planning on installing a blower for a while.
