Wipers gone haywire. High speed ok. Low speed ok. No interval. Hit washer, wipers won't stop. Did my homework, replaced MF switch, no change. Replaced wiper control module, no change. Checked wiring A OK.
Any advice would be appreciated. 1993 Ford Bronco XLT 5.8 Thanks!
Well typically that is a symptom of a bad park switch inside the motor. Usually you also lose low speed as well which leaves me curious about yours. But since you have already done a MFS and wiper governor the motor is about all that it could be.
I had the exact same problems and the factory manual tests indicated it was the park switch in the motor. Replacing the motor cured the problem. Taking the cover off the run/park switch revealed a burned contact on the stop contact and contact disk.
Do a search on midlf to see comments from others on how to do this job. It was suggested that removing the hood makes the job easier. I didn't get that hint until I was done but I do agree with it.
