I have a f-250 66' longbed, but would really like to find a shortbed. every one that I look at around here is crap for the $ they want. I did find a 70' shortbed with a lot things I want in it. I'd like to swap my cab and fenders to the 70'. My question is would a 70' bed work with a 66' cab or would it look strange. My 66' bed is pretty well spent. just like to know if anybody has done it.
Just tell them the unmatching box is factory stock (well it is Factory, just a different year at the factory).
Can't possibly look worse than the 57-60 box Ford put on the slicks from 61-63 and on the 4x4's until '65.
There is one goofier looking Ford example IMHO, even more recenty done. The stepsides in the earlier nineties with the Ranger box on them are the strangest looking trucks from the back I have ever seen. What were they thinking?
If you can get the 70 box cheap, it would make a good trade item to have. I would rather build a nice wood rack before I put on a 70 box on a sweet 66.
Actually, I just found and purchased a 65' f-100 shortbed in real nice shape. So I don't need the 70'. It was just a option I was contemplating. Thanks for the input fellas. case closed
