tires for a 66f100

what is the widest tire that will steer and not rub on a stock 66 step side with factory lift the reason i ask i was thinking about 40s in the back an 50s in the front

im thinking that i want to go with a 15inch rim unless yous guys have a better idea

Do you have power steering? How strong are you? Keep in mind that the wider tires here harder and harder to steer manually. Just a caution.......

I was running 235 70/15 on the front of my 64 with no ill effects. I know the 66 uses twin beams but you should still have plenty of room. Out back, I think you will fit 50 series tires since you have a stepside bed.

i run 35x12.50x15 on my 66 with no power steering works great for me

I fitted 245/75/15s on my 66 F100 and they do not rub at all. This is on an 8j rim. Steering is also easy enough.

i have 4 inchs of lift . no real rubbing problems unless i flex the crap out of her. only problem i got is waiting on a good day off to start the power steering conversion
