Bed fitment question

Not sure if this has ever been tried as my searches bring nothing up, but I have a 94 f150 xlt shortbed 6&3/4' box, and i was wondering if any beds from any of the 97 up shortbeds could be made to fit...i want to know whether or not it would be possible. Im not worried about how it would look as i have a project in mind. I just want to know if a shortbed from a 97 up f150 could theoretically fit a 94 f150 shortbed. I can modify the fuel neck so im not too worried about that part. Thanks in advance for your time

if you have decent fabrication skills, anything is possible.
i am in the starting stages of putting 78 pickup sheetmetal on a 2000 F-350

Now for the opinion part. This is honestly and idea I've just been toying around with in mind for awhile for the uniqueness of it, so I just wanted a few opinions. Do you guys think it would be a neat project, especially with some of the newer shortbeds that have a smoother square shape to them? What are some other years you might suggest that would make a pretty cool mashup, and other body parts that might fit/and or look good with a '94? Or do you guys just think it would look wrong? I just want to see what some others think of this project. Thanks guys

Just follow what you want to do. Everyone is going to have an opinion but bottom line is it's your truck. A lot more important to make sure that whatever you do is done well and to the best of your ability.
I put a cowl hood on my 08 and shot it in satin black. People either love it or hate it. I like it. All that matters.
btw welcome to FTE.

Good point, I think I'm going to try it and see where the project takes me.
And thanks, I've been watching it quite awhile but just relatively recently started posting. I've found it a pretty welcoming and good community.
My truck's red, I think I'm going to check out the newer shortbeds. I'm planning on blacking it out except for the red.
