blowing fuses in the fuse block...

Anybody ever have problems blowing fuses (stock ones) after putting in a speaker amp. My instrument panel lights keep blowing but I can't figure out why, the only common ground is, well, the ground wires. I imagine they both go to the body/frame. Could that do it?

What vehicle? Did you try unhooking the amp too see if it's blowing the fuse? Most likely a wire got pinched when assembling dash and is now shorting to ground. Take the dash back apart and look over the surrounding wiring.

That was it, after I slid the receiver back in a connector came loose causing the short. I should have checked that before I starting writing. Thanks!
