bumper jacks

im postin here because i figure everyone in here has big tires and my question is do yall go with tall hydrolic jacks or bumper jacks
(mostly for the flat tire on side of road situation but maybe knocking a tire of the rim in the woods somewhere along the way too)

as far as the bumper jacks do yall know if there are any places i can use them on my bronco and avoid denting and scratching up the body

Btw the bumpers are not very secure .... the guy who owned the truck before me didnt see the need in investing it tow hooks

I would suggest a "hi-lift" jack. It is like a really tall bumper jack........but be sure to secure the bumpers first.

what year bronco? a lot of ppl mount them on roll bars or the bumpers. mine is mounted to my toolbox in the back so it makes it a lil harder for someone to steal (not ot mention it has a lock on it) I use a bumper jack BUT it is extremely dangerous! you have GOT to be careful. ppl don't realize how unsteady thes things are esp when jacked all the way up!

look in my gallery for proper bumper installation

1988' full size i will soon (hopefully within 10 days) have some pics in my gallery

anyways i am hoping i can secure the bumper but it looks like the front one has been ripped off just a few times and doesnt look like i can remount it very strong hopefully i will put a nice solid bumper with a winch on it but that wont be until next summer probably and i need some way to lift it until then
i guess if i need to lift the front i can place the jack behind the front tire but it seems like that would chew on the body of the truck

yes all you would do would be messing up the body b/c there is no support there. i suggest removing the bumper then and utilize the frame that sticks out in the front for lifting!
