Have an 03 F-150 with both head lights way out of alignment. Been told they cannot be adjusted. As crazy as that sounds, I'm beginning to believe it because I havn't been able to figure out how or where to adjust. Any help would be greatly appriciated.
First you pull up those two black tabs that are right above the headlight in the engine compartment. Make sure they are far enough up so that the three studs coming out of the headlight can slide forward (away from the engine). When the headlight studs pull through you can disconnect the bulb from the connector. The three studs with threads have a nut like bumper on them, so that they can be turned in or out for adjustment. Turn these in or out for adjustment... Hope im right. (Disregard that...lol.)
I sure do appriciate your help. I should be able to make the adjustments based on your instructions as soon as I get the proper tool. To answer the question about how they got way out of alignment, my wife hit a deer and did some light damage to the front end. After repairs were made, the lights were not properly adjusted and no one (including the local dealership) knew how to do it. In fact the local dealer told me that they could not be adjusted. I didn't beleive that for one second, that's why I posted. Thanks again!
