Transmission swapping

Hello. Have any of you ever gone from a E40D to a C4 or a C6?

I have only read post on the swap and you will need to change your computer but to what I have no clue. It's no a straight forward swap, drive shafts will also be different lengths.

Gotta switch to a 89 or earlier computer before E4OD's were around.

or you can switch to manual trans computer!

I'm interested in a C4 transmission because it has less drivetrain robbery. Would that be even more difficult than a C6 conversion?

Which engine?? You'll need a transmission crossmember too from an early 80s truck with a C4 and a kickdown cable from the same engine as the computer and harness too.
