My 2002 F150 4X4 has been having a slight transmission problem for the past few months. I haven't been able to take it in to the shop because I have been very very busy. I just wanted to see if any one has had this same problem:
Being an automatic, sometimes while cruising, it will downshift during acceleration and it feels like it shifts real ruff. It does it nearly 90% of the time. Also, sometimes when I am going about 10-15 mph, it feels like the rear end is griding and the truck vibrates for a few seconds. My truck only has about 32000 miles on it. I called the Ford dealership because I believe its covered under my extended warranty. He said that I would have to take a mechanic on a road test in order for them to fix it. Would this be something under warranty? If anyone has had this problem, please let me know what happened and how you got it fixed. Thanks.
