>Jews do to bring the holocaust upon themselves?
Far as I know, Job had no great offense, but was being tested. As for the holocaust, remember that not only Jews, but cripples and Gypsys and other "undesireables" were disposed of too. But as for why are Jews still abused in the New Testament times, I would say it is a continuation of the reason I gave in the old testament. Also, I don't think it helped their cause when Pilate washed his hands of the responsibility for Jesus fate (symbolically anyway) and asked the crowd of Jews, 'what about Jesus,' and they said somethin like, 'let his blood be upon us.' Bottom line though, none of this excuses anyone who abuses Jews or anyone else. It is wrong. Unfortunately, if it commonly reported that "Christian" children would call Jews Jesus Killers, but in reality we all are responsible for Jesus death as we all have sinned. And that is why Jesus died--to pay for our sins so we could go free (responsibly free that is for if you reject God, you get no benefit from this).

Agree, but is sure hard to do the way things are now.

I think that the U.S. middle east policy may be tainted somewhat by Christian millennialists who latch on to the Old Testament verse that is in regard to the Theocrary of Israel, where God said of Israel that whoever blesses them will be blessed and whoever curses them will be cursed. Millennialists I have met (or read the writings of) tend to believe this is still true, even though the Theocracy of Israel ended, and so these folks think the U.S. should always favor Israel.
Anyway, Gotta go. Maybe can answer/respond more later.
Didn't we all come from the same mold whether it was from a single cell animal* or offspring of Adam and Eve. Therefore aren't we all brothers and sisters?
* I do know people who have obviously descended from single cell organisms- and in the not to distant past.
pilot10: No we cannot just get along. Look how devisive our country is let alone the middle east.
Christ did not come to unite this world but to divide it. (His words). That is one predication that so far has been very true.
This business about getting along is a crook! Let's see we have suicide bombers blowing themselves up in public places. What was the last major conflict where we had suicide bombers???????
Anybody remember WWII? And what did it take to cease the killing?

Way to go, Rocky!
No, not as long as the world's population stubbornly supports organized religions.

Agree 100%.

If you support evolution theory, yes we are. Only if you're a Christian does Adam and Eve have any meaning. Other religions have different beliefs for the origin of life.

That's for sure - George Bush?
You know, if there were no organized religions, there would be no holy wars, no disputes. I don't know if there is a God, and quite frankly right now I don't care. If I do choose to believe in the existence of God, it will almost certainly be in the absence of religion.

Corlucci, Your belief or disbelief in God is your right, and I certainly respect that. However, If you'll notice in each of the four Gospels, Jesus Christ hated organized religion as well! He pulled no punches when dealing with them (Pharisees). TRUE Christianity is a RELATIONSHIP not a religion. God, (mine at least) doesn't care how much you contribute to your churches building fund, whether you attend every week or occaisionally, what race or creed, whether you are an ordained minister, or a pew warmer. He simply loves me for who I am. And because I accepted His offer of salvation, I have a wonderful relationship with Him. Truly, He is closer than a brother.
When I have good days, He is with me. When I have bad days, He is there. I, like yourself, at one time didn't know if there was a God. Now, I know. And now I return that love to Him through obedience to His word. I don't have to kill anybody,I don't HAVE to contribute a certain amount of my income, nor do I have to kill myself to attain "Heaven".
I'm not trying to judge, push Christianity, and certainly not offend anyone. This is an open forum. Ideas are discussed here. I respect everyone's right to their beliefs. I am merely stating my personal feelings on the matter.
My question to those people would be, "What kind of a god do you serve that requires you to kill unbelievers?" That's not a religion or a belief system. It's a murder cult.

I'll not go off on this since this has been covered before at this site many moons ago. It also ended in the thread being locked by Ken due to the passion of the responses.
However, I would like to ask: What do you think the world would be like without organized religion?
Since you do not believe in God then the ? should really be asked as: What do you think the world would be like without any religion based on God?
Just curious.
THE QUESTION IS NOT INTENDED TO START A FLAME
