An "off road" "X" or "H" pipe replaces the cats. I have also been told there is a sensor "tricker" that can be used when replacing the cats with pipe.

Talking

My 02 has 47,000 on it and about 500 miles ago I had the exact same noise, from the exact same side! It turned out that the tack welds had failed, so I took it to a shop and they re tacked it for me and fixed my rear pipe brackets for 20.00. It was the easiest and cheapest fix ever for the truck. Way better than the factory tranny going out on me at 26,000 miles on the way to Vegas, but thats another story!

dodge hemi

i was reading over all the dodge comments and find myself wondering why get a hemi when for less you could buy a lightining? they sell for about 3 grand less and you get about 30 more horsepower and you dont have to degrade yourself by owning a dodge.

Yeah, you answered your question and a "hemi" is not anymore a hemi than a 5.4 is!

I prefer the older Hemi's. Dodge fans tend to stick to the fact that it has 30 less horsepower then the lightning, but not supercharged. Granted this is true, that a supercharged engine not as powerful as it could be, but at least our Fords won't Fall apart going down the road. Can't say the same for dodge

The Hemi Rumble Bees are pretty tough trucks. They smoke the 5.4 any day...but the 5.4 (IMO) is much nicer and more desirable to drive.

Oh yea, about the X - H pipe thing. Go to Bassani's website...I don't know the exact site, just do a Google search. They specialize in that type of stuff. Yes, the high flow cats replace the 2 stock cats on either side. I've never heard of an X pipe eliminating the cats though. An X pipe just criss-crosses the piping after the cats to make a true dual setup.

I think that this room should be turned into the tangent room. I mean, the original thread question has long ago been completed. I can't exactly put anyone down for doing this, as if you notice, my own A.D.D. took over a while back. But hey, its all good. So, lets talk about rims....which ones do you think look good?

And I thought it was just me, but I think mine is more of a exterior of the muffler or cat thing, not a bad cat or anything like that. I will get under there tommorrow and check out those welds and/or see about some loose screws on the heat shield above the muffler, i think it may be loose, either way, that vibrating noise is really getting on my nerves at red lights, really embarassing, gotta get it fixed.

I hear that! My wife's car's (2001 Honda Accord EX) brake pads on the driver's rear wheel has now god critically bad. Will have to fix today.

That thing rattles terribly!
