Anyone have a C6 tranny for cheap near saskatoon. It doesn't even have to be working. I split the housing on mine and it was just rebuilt, so i am basically just looking for a housing to swap the guts into. thanks
My neighbor has one that can be easily gotten to. The motor is out and so is the truck cab and front end. The trans is right in the open. It is on a 76 truck frame. What year of truck is it needed for? That can make a difference.
I broke the casing on my 78 and had a 76 for parts here. It bolted in, but the linkage for the reverse was different. Newer trucks this will not fit on linkages without some modifing.
Let me know I'm out by Vanscoy Delisle area.
sorry guys i haven't been on this site in a while, but i am still looking for a C6 housing. if you guys still have access to these trannys, let me know. thanks.
I'm still here and I believe my neighbor still has the transmission there. It is easy to get at since the motor is gone and the cab has been removed.
Too late tonight to talk to him. Give him a call tomorrow.

I have a passenger car C-6 out in the shed that I kept for parts when it died. You can have if you want it.It was off a 429 motor but I am in Regina so I might be too far away. You can email me at idfergusson@yahoo.ca if you are interested. You might also try Buck's Auto parts in Saskatoon as they sell 3 spd auto transmissions for about $60 but you have to pull it yourself.
sorry, i guess i should clarify. i need one for a small block ford and i am located just outside saskatoon.
C6 for a small block are a little rare, someone put one in my 69 F100. I was told that it was out of a van. Try to find one in a van at the wreckers or you could try Trevor`s Transmission Repair (652-3337), he`s a good guy. He may have a core. He sold me a parts 3 sp trany for my 56 M100 for cheap ($60) when nobody else had anything in the way of parts for it and all of the parts that I needed were good.
