Worst running 6.0 I have seen yet !

Thought I would share a 6.0 I fixed today. I have had a lot of 7.3's that had this same fault but the 6.0 behaves totaly different !!!! It was towed in and customer states starts but wont accell. I started it and it missed and sputtered for a few seconds, then ran smooth. Drove to stall and with some rpm would smoke blue, miss real bad. Pass codes. Monitored various sensors, etc. all normal. It would idle smooth. If you applied just a hair of throttle it would become so quite you could hardly hear it. Rev it and all hell breaks loose. Was full of gas ! You would thing some one would fess up. Came out ok. 6.0's like gas better than 7.3's. I wouldn't recomend it !

my truck done the same thing they had to replace a few sensors, and do many updates on the computer. Finally after 6 months they got it fixed i had to wait on all the updates thats whats took so long. Then i had a turbo leak, power steering pump leak, and rear main seal leak.

Visitng the in-laws in Memphis, after the drive up and running around for a bit - thought I'd go fill up before we headed back to DFW...
Pop-in-law comes with me and while I'm checking under the hood he's going to be "nice" as he always had before and snuck his credit card in there and pulls the hose.... I heard the noise and look up just as he's about to start pumping ! !
I said STOP! a little too loudly and hurt this sweet little guys feelings - felt bad about that... but I gave him credit for at least trying to put PREMIUM in it

And the worst part..........you just KNOW this guy has told 20 of his friends what a piece of junk his new Ford 6.0 is, having to be towed in and all that. Do you think he'll now go back to those 20 people and tell them, "I am a PERFECT moron.......?"

I am currently with a F-350 SRW 4x4 6.0 CC , our previous vehical in the house was a 7.3 Excusion. Gave it to a friend to borrow to do some pulling thought he would know its a diesel. Well he pumped it full of Gas and well 5,000bucks later it was running GREAT , he was nice enough to pay the tab though. He checks like 3 times before actuly filling now even his OWN truck haha. I dont think i will be letting him borrow the new truck any time soon.......

We have to be careful what we wish for though....
we may soon have to go to different nozzle sizes to meet our matched filler necks so only ONE will fit...
I could see it now...

Regular gas is round and smalll.
premiums is quare so the regular won't fit...
diesel is octagan shaped

After all, if we have to put warning labels
on lawnmowers not to stick your hand or foot under it...
on McDonalds coffee cups that it's Hot... and don't pour it into your crotch while driving
what's next

Oh why in the world did I type that...
some beuracratic(sic) moron will probably suggest that (if they already haven't)

My stepmother actually managed to fill her explorer with diesel once. She complained to my dad about having to hold the gas flap down to fill it up because the nozzle wouldnt go in. I wasn't there when it happened, but my father told me about it later.

That is a masterpiece in stupidity
