Is there a Mustang 4.6, GT or Cobra, that will bolt into my 1997 4.6 Ford 150 Lariet 4X4?
How about a 5.0?
Are the newer Fords as difficult to match up to the bell housings as the older Fords where? It used to be each Ford Family of motors required their own specific bell housing. Example 272 through 312's were the same, the 332's to the 427's where pretty much the same, etc.
I have absolutely no clue on the interchangability of the newer Ford engines, maybe because they've been so good to me I haven't had to swap one around!
Any imput will help.

Reason: spelling
It should be a 4.6L same as yours Windsor or Romeo. If you get one out of a car, you will need to use the truck intake and exhaust manifolds. Also, if you get a 99-up, it will have PI heads and need a truck intake for PI heads.
The 5.0 will not bolt up to anything and you would have to change the PCM and wiring harness to go to a 5.4L.
